What would I be doing?

The Neighbourhood Pod's main job is to find ways of inviting their neighbours into a community celebration of their street. The current project for Beacon Heath is the Beacon Lane Shops, celebrating the extraordinary social history of the shops.  After that, there'll be a new street project, around and around Beacon Heath ..... all the time collecting more nominations and votes for where to go next.

You'll do this as a team, with the support of the Beacon Heath Squilometre and with training provided for free.

PLUS!  You'll come into a network of other Neighbourhood Pods all across East Devon where you can share ideas, resources and inspiration and attend an annual Pod Celebration in your honour!

What kind of time commitment is there?​

Across the team, the total commitment would be an average of 7 hours per week.  So if there's 7 of you, that's just an hour a week!  (This can be flexible).

And we'll help you find the right role for you inside that team:-

-Photography
-Local history research
-Facilitating
-Door knocking
-Listening/welcoming others

​Doing what you're good at. Doing what you enjoy. In the time that you've got.
