On a blustery Sunday afternoon the Beacon Lane Shops Pod and the Mile Lane Pod hosted an event for their neighbours. Twenty or so Beacon Heath-ers shared memories, laughs, hot drinks and creative fun. A truly intergenerational event with ages ranging from 6-86(!!) and a thoroughly Beacon Heath-y happening!

No. 90 Hardware Store - Ilsley
No. 92 General Store - Rowe
No. 94 Greengrocer - Sandy
No. 96 Butcher - Potter
No. 98 Newsagent/Post Office - Follands
No. 100 Chemist - Holman and Ham (Mr Sedgeley)
Clearly the shops changed hands over the decades and each change brings a new set of stories to tell (below image from 1977) ....
